Nagarjuna is believed to be the
introducer of metallurgy (and chemistry) in Ayurveda and a
sage lived in India (AD 78 - 180). He learned Vedas and
Vedangas from Pataleeputra and became a Budhist scholar and
believer in the Mahayana way. He established a Viharam in Gaya and wrote many books in Ayurveda, metallurgy, Thanthra and
Philosophy which had been translated into Chinese
(Kumarajeevan who was the teacher of Fa Hien, translated 47
books into Chinese and wrote Nagarjuna's biography). None of
his books in metallurgy or chemistry is available now. |
